Attorney Louise Krarup Simonsen and Attorney Thomas Herring join Skau Reipurth & Partnere as partners. Both attorneys will join our firm’s Insolvency and Restructuring team headed by Attorney Anders Ørskov Melballe which makes the team one of the most experienced Insolvency and Restructuring teams in Denmark.
As of 1 September and 1 October 2020 attorney Thomas Heering and attorney Louise Krarup Simonsen will join Skau Reipurth & Partnere as partners.
Both attorneys are to play a part in developing Skau Reipurth & Partnere’s already significant market position in the insolvency and restructuring practice area.
Together with partner Anders Ørskov Melballe and senior associate Lotte Lundin the expansion of the team means that Skau Reipurth & Partnere will have one of Denmark’s strongest and most experienced Insolvency and Restructuring teams.
Appointing new partners is a part of Skau Reipurth & Partnere’s focused strategy to deliver dedicated advice at the highest level to all types of clients in our strategic focus areas, including banks and other financial creditors, distressed businesses, officers and investors.
Since 1997 and 1999 respectively, Louise and Thomas have specialised in insolvency and restructuring. In their careers with several of the largest Danish law firms they have both handled all types of bankruptcy and restructuring and they have both played key roles in the handling of the largest estates in bankruptcy in all sectors, including aviation, retail and manufacturing, agriculture, leasing, real estate, etc. In addition, both of them have conducted numerous cases about management liability, avoidance, disqualification and other disputes.
In addition to traditional insolvency and restructuring issues, Louise and Thomas advise on financial issues, including financial regulation, charges and other types of security and leasing.
Louise Krarup Simonsen
Louise comes from a position as head of legal for a financial fintech business. Before that she was a partner and head of the insolvency and restructuring team with EY. Previously she was an attorney and partner with Kromann Reumert’s insolvency and restructuring team. Louise has also been an assistant judge with the bankruptcy court of the Maritime and Commercial High Court and other district courts in relation to insolvency, enforcement and legal proceedings.
Thomas comes from a position as senior associate with Gorrissen Federspiel. Before that Thomas was a partner with Delacour Law Firm. He has also been an attorney with Kroman Reumert’s and Bech-Bruun’s insolvency and restructuring teams.
